We Have A Big God

"I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple." Isaiah 6:1

All this while in my walk with the Lord, I have heard many people say to me that, "We have a big God". Is that statement true? If it is true, then how big is our God? I know our God is a big God but to be honest I never once asked this question to myself, "How big is our God?"

Even though I didn't ask, God chose to reveal Himself and gave me a glimpse of His size, awesomeness, power and might through Isaiah 6:1. He is enormous and He is truly truly a big God. Let me prove to you. When the Prophet Isaiah wrote about the vision of God that he saw in the book of Isaiah, the one thing that impressed him the most was the train or hem of the Lord's robe took up all the space of the temple, "I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple." Isaiah 6:1.

Follow with me carefully on the vision of Prophet Isaiah, "The train of His robe filled the temple". Which temple that the Prophet Isaiah saw in his vision? It could be the temple that was built by King Solomon. Solomon's Temple was one of the most popular temples that was mentioned in the Bible because it was built according to God's direction in terms of the temple structure and its dimensions.

The Bible says, "The temple that King Solomon built for the Lord was sixty cubits long, twenty wide and thirty high." 1 Kings 6:2. And if we calculate in our measurements it will be 90 feet long, 30 feet wide and 45 feet high. So overall it will be 121,500 cubic feet of space filled with the train of the Lord's robe. If just the train or the hem of His robe could fill the space of such a big temple, then what would be the size of the person who wears such a big robe? The One who wears the robe must be towering into the clouds! My friend, now do you understand how Big our God is? He is really a Big God.

Now tell me, is there anything that can compare to our Awesome and Mighty Big God? Whatever you are facing in this life nothing could stand beside Him. Your sickness, your poverty, your discouragements, your repeated defeat and any problem that you could think of are too small compared to our Mighty God. Open your eyes and see the truth and let the truth set you free from all dilemmas. Don't see how big is your problem but see how big is our Almighty God. Your view about God will help you in your walk with Him and how you deal with your situations.
