Gospel To All Creation

The Lord Initiated

The Lord Jesus Christ came into this world for one purpose. It is to seek and save the lost. The Bible says, “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.” Luke 19:10.

It is His initiative to save mankind from sin and to give the gift of righteousness. “No one has taken it away from Me, but I laid it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.” John 10:18. Men didn’t look for God, but God initiated and came down from His throne to look for men.

To save men from sin and give eternal life to fallen mankind, He paid a huge price with His own life. The Lord Jesus Christ gave up His life so that you and I may have life. The Bible says, “Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.” Galatians 1:4.

He breathes His last breath on the Cross of Calvary, so that we can have internal life and live forever with Him in heaven. His body was totally broken, so that we are healed and made whole again. He took all our punishment, so that we are freed from God’s wrath. He sheds his blood so that we are forgiven. All these are His own initiative.

Why must the Lord Jesus Christ initiate His rescue plan for fallen mankind? Only one reason! Because of His great love you the people. His unconditional love for the people drove Him to initiate such a difficult rescue mission.

As you begin your day, remember all that the Lord has done for you. He initiated it and He paid for everything in full. You are forgiven, healed, restored, freed, and you are dearly loved by the Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ.
