"He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3.
The Bible didn't say that the Lord came to save only the good, super spiritual, A-class people or those who are perfect. There is no such thing as perfect people in this world. Only God is good and perfect all the time. The Lord Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Mark 2:17. When the Lord said "But the sick and sinners", what actually is He saying? He is referring to the condition of the people of this world. Because of the sinful nature of the world He knows people are bound with physical illness, broken in their spirit, crushed in their heart, depressed, lost and souls are perishing each day.
Why did He come for people like you and I? Did He come to punish us?
People are already suffering in this world because of sin. And they are dying each day and going to eternal punishment to be punished forever. So, in this suffering world, why must the Lord come and add more suffering and punishment for the people who are going to suffer forever eventually? Might as well, He just sits at His throne in Heaven and sees all of us suffer in sin and die for eternity.
Why am I saying all these things? Because there are many people still thinking that He is punishing them. Whatever that went wrong in their lives, straight away this is what many will say, "The Lord is angry with me, He is punishing me for what I have done." My friend, it is so sad to hear people say something like that. If He needs to beat you and punish you, then why must He be beaten up, broken and die on the cross of Calvary? Don't let the enemy manipulate you.
The loving Shepherd God our Lord Jesus Christ stepped into this sinful world to love us and to give us many second chances to live again. He wants to touch us with His loving kindness and heal our brokenness, that's why the Bible says "He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3. He knows you and me more than we know ourselves. He knows where you went and what you have done. He knows your cry and sorrows. He knows how deep you are wounded in the side of you. He can clearly see all the scratches and scars in your heart. He knows who hurt you and He knows what they have said about you. Nothing about you could surprise Him.
Dearest, He came to heal that brokenness in you. Today, you still have hope to come out from your brokenness and all that you went through in your life. The only thing you have to do now is to allow Him to come into your life again and allow Him to touch your wounded heart once again. He is a good Shepherd and He loves you so much. No matter what happens, you are always in His heart. Regardless of what you have done in the past, nothing could separate you from His everlasting love for you. You don't have to wear any mask on your face, just return as who you are to this very day. The Lord Jesus, is able to renew your life as how he has renewed my life. We can always hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Your Shepherd God loves you phenomenally…
