Set Your Love Upon Him

"Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him". Psalms 91:14-16

Some will press on until the end even when they face trouble after trouble. But many will turn back and give up hope on God when trouble and challenges struck them. Which category are you in? Are you one inspired to press on or are you one discouraged and wants to give up? Let me tell you something, sometimes in this life you will never understand why you are going through disappointments. But don't lose heart; your disappointments could be God's divine appointments for you to be greatly blessed and to experience a higher opportunity to excel in this life.

Every time you encounter discouragements, don't easily lose heart, instead face those challenges as something that could develop you and be able to bring you to the next level. When trouble arises, remind yourself about the opportunity that God is about to bring your way. Benjamin, how could it be? My friend, it is not impossible and I'm not giving you some kind of formula to face trouble and excel from there. But I'm reminding you about what the Bible says, "Because he (she) hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him (her) on high, because he hath known My name. He (she) shall call upon Me, and I will answer him (her): I will be with him (her) in trouble; I will deliver him (her), and honour him (her)". Psalms 91:14-16.

We can break the above verse into 2 major parts. One part belongs to you and the other part belongs to God. God will always be faithful in doing His part. According to the Scripture your part should be, "Because he (she) hath set his (her) love upon Me" and "He (she) shall call upon Me". As I said earlier, many will turn their backs from the Lord when things don't go in their ways. Some will start to curse God when trouble strikes them but our attitude should not be in such a way. When you set your love upon Him, even in the trouble time you will see it as something to build you up.

The result of setting your love upon the Lord Jesus is far greater than any other thing. I understand it is not easy to set our love upon Him during troubled times but take heart, the more you call upon the name of the Lord the more He will increase in your heart. When the more the Lord increases in your heart the more You will be in love with Him. Dearest, always go back to the basics which is, "He (she) shall call upon Me". Set your love upon Lord Jesus and He'll be faithful in doing His part which is, "therefore will I deliver him (her): I will set him (her) on high"
