Secret Of A Fruitful Life

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does will prosper.” Psalms 1:1-3

Allow me to show you the secret of a prosperous life from the Bible, He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does will prosper.” Psalms 1:3. The reality of this following verse, whatever he does will prosper” will happen when you and I live a life such as this, Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.” Psalms 1:1-2.

Let’s see what this Psalm is saying, “Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.” Psalm 1:1. The Hebrew word for Blessed” in the contents of this verse is Asher which means How Happy. And the Hebrew word for 'wicked' in this verse is Rasha, which means ungodly such as morally wrong, actively bad and unjust. So this verse can be pronounced as, “How Happy is a man/woman who does not walk in the counsel of the ungodly such as morally wrong, actively bad and unjust.”

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.” Psalms 1:2. The meaning of this verse, “But his/her pleasure (delight) in the word (law) of God and reads it to gain knowledge, wisdom and feed (meditate) on it to grow spiritually.” – Only through reading and hearing His word our faith grows, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the Word of Christ.” Romans 10:17.

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.” Psalms 1:3. A healthy tree will bear fruits in its season. For a tree or a plant to remain healthy, it must be fed with good minerals. The more a tree keeps on receiving good minerals, the more it will be healthy and bear good fruit. You and I are like trees in this life. If we want to be fruitful and stay strong spiritually, we have to feed ourselves with good minerals and supplements as well. The good minerals and supplements for our spiritual growth is His Living Word. Feed your inner man with spiritual food; the Word of God – day and night.

Dearest, when you turn away from an ungodly lifestyle and find pleasure in reading and meditating on His living word, You will be able to understand what Christ has done for you and you will begin to be rooted in the gift of righteousness that He has given us freely. You will understand who He is in you and who you are in Him. The more you feed yourself with His spoken word the more You will be refreshed and strengthened. Your attitude and way of living will change to be more like Him, you will grow and be used by Him to be a witness and bear fruit for Him. Reading His Word, applying His Word and doing His Word is the secret of a fruitful life.
